bulges

this weekend my dear friend (and next door neighbor) susan had an opening at the evanston art center. it was her first time exhibiting her lovely plaster bulges. the bulges have protruding soft forms, sleek shiny surfaces, and spot on color palletes. i find them absolutely lickable. (i haven't actualy done that yet, BUT they do inspire that sort of behavior) jon and i are lucky enough to have five bulges in our home. i love them and they look fantastic against our brick walls. susan is also the artist behind up in the air somewhere. visit her etsy shop here for ceramic goodies, pouches, pillows & home decor. i'm so proud to call susan a dear friend of mine for many, many reasons but the fact that she makes beautiful things is the icing on the cake.
