you guys. a blog post. wow. i know. yes. there has been a lack of posts here BUT there has been a plethora of jewel experiment/making in the studio. all sorts of new exciting stuff. i've lost sleep over it because i kept thinking about jump ring connection points (not even joking..) i've been drawing + sketching ideas down in between the time away from the studio. it's insane. like an insane person who is compulsive. maybe after i release the collection i'll gather the pile to show you. jon is getting worried about it. he is making fun of me. because it is insane. "oh, what? i was supposed to make a grocery list?... oh...how about this rough sketch of necklaces?... necklaces are for dinner...."
lately i've been so into finding the through points between collections. as cursive gets older and i've been doing this 2 times a year for awhile now each design is a marriage of past designs and ideas. it's becoming so clear. this from that, that from this + and some new elements that are currently intriguing. only after the piece is done can i sit back and say oh "you're the older cousin of the color theory and the fade out. nice to meet you." honestly, these design connections make me excited to age.
